New Year update
Thanks to all who purchased a board last year. I hope everyone enjoyed their boards, whether you gave one as a gift or used it yourself.
Because of high demand and difficulty sourcing some of the types of wood I use, like Yellow heart, we have run out of many styles of boards. Recently, I found a supplier in Lombard, IL, who had some in stock. My wife and I made a quick trip there and bought enough to last a while. I’ve been out working in the shop every chance I get.
Last year, I made a board patterned after a Frank Lloyd Wright "shock of wheat" design (idea and design credit to Gary Korosi).
This year, I made a new board patterned after another Frank Lloyd Wright design, inspired by the Oak Park skylight. Some are one panel, and some are made with three panels (idea and design credit to Gary Korosi).
I am anxious to get back to going to shows (TBD). My boards are also displayed at The Nest Modern Goods located at 427 N Cody Rd, Le Claire, IA 52753. ( https://www.facebook.com/shopnestgoods/ ) You can also view my boards on my website https://www.makinsawdustqc.com/
Special Note: I am thinking of bringing back a retired cutting board of mine—the Grand Piano.
