The story
Throughout my life, I've explored various hobbies, from carving duck decoys to making furniture, but I never quite found the perfect fit. It wasn't until I retired from a successful career at a large package delivery company that I discovered my true calling.
One day, while spending time in my workshop, I came across a charming little cutting board online. Inspired by its design, I set out to create one of my own. From that moment on, I was hooked. I poured my heart and soul into crafting cutting boards, experimenting with different woods, designs, and techniques.
As I continued to hone my skills, my friends and family took notice of the exceptional quality and beauty of my creations. They encouraged me to share my talent with the world, and that's when Makin' Sawdust was born.
I started by attending arts and craft shows, where I was overwhelmed by the positive response from customers. One question that kept coming up was, "Do you sell online?"
